Kristen Schuch got her master’s in clinical psychology from Eastern Illinois University in 2002. She moved to Wisconsin where she worked for the next nine years with children and families as an intensive in-home family therapist. She developed an interest and enthusiasm for working with families and helping them to create more meaningful connections. After moving to Oregon in 2011, she continued working with adolescents in outpatient and school-based settings, with over 6 years in a local high school. She has been part of a DBT team since 2013 and found that the modality of DBT fit into her practice with clients and her own goals and values like a puzzle piece.

In her work she strives to focus on evidenced based practices to help individuals struggling with many forms of life’s pain and to hold themselves and their loved ones with compassion and understanding while balancing their own goals and values.
