Getting the best outcomes possible from DBT requires a well-trained DBT therapist providing services in a highly structured and comprehensive DBT treatment environment (see Dimeff & Koerner, 2007). Without both, clients may not improve at the same rate or to the same extent as those who actually receive DBT.
