Carly (she/her) earned a master’s degree from the University of Chicago’s Crown Family School of Social Work, Policy, and Practice in 2022, with a focus on third-wave behavioral therapies. She has worked extensively with emerging and older adults experiencing anxiety, depression, OCD, trauma, grief, and loss. Prior to joining Portland DBT Institute, Carly worked as a psychotherapist for a group practice in Chicago, IL. She also has experience with case management and crisis intervention through her work as a hospital social worker.
Carly aims to navigate the therapeutic relationship mindfully and compassionately, trusting clients to be the expert of their own experience. Carly also recently relocated to Portland, OR from the midwest, and understands the courage it takes to enact changes — big and small.
