Brenda Shein, PhD (she/her) is a postdoctoral resident who earned her doctorate in Counseling Psychology from Purdue University. She completed her yearlong clinical internship at Pacific Psychology and Comprehensive Health Clinics in Portland, OR before joining PDBTI in 2025. Drawing from her background and interests in understanding the impact of trauma, adversity, and resilience through a developmental and socio-cultural lens, Brenda adopts a relational, systems-informed, and collaborative approach in her work. She is committed to creating a supportive environment where clients can gain a deeper understanding of their unique strengths and challenges. She hopes to help clients feel more informed, empowered, and in greater control of their lives, ultimately fostering self-advocacy and progress towards their desired goals. As a member of the Teen and Family team, she is excited about building meaningful relationships with and providing evidence-based treatment to teens, adults, and their families. In her free time, her favorite activities include playing racquet sports (tennis and badminton), baking, and spending time with friends and family over good food.
