Dr. Bethany Johnson, PsyD (she/her) is a postdoctoral fellow who is passionate about creating a safe, welcoming space where people feel heard, understood, and supported. She earned her doctorate from Marshall University in West Virginia in August 2026, with a focus on working with rural populations. During her doctoral internship at Community Health of Central Washington Family Medicine in Yakima, WA, Bethany worked alongside medical providers to support the whole person and provide compassionate care to individuals in this rural and underserved community. Bethany spent most of her life in middle Georgia and earned her Master’s degree in Clinical/Counseling Psychology from Augusta University in 2022. Her experiences have strengthened her belief in the importance of meeting people with curiosity, compassion, and without judgment.

Bethany believes that therapy is a collaborative process and that you are the expert on your own life. She enjoys helping people better understand themselves, reconnect with what matters most to them, and find moments of joy and meaning—even during difficult seasons of life. Her goal is to meet each person where they are and walk alongside them as they navigate challenges, growth, and change, even in moments when life feels unchangeable.

Outside of work, Bethany enjoys spending time with her two dogs, watching sunsets, and making meaningful connections with friends and family. She is learning to play the ukulele, loves to read, and is rediscovering her creative side through crafting. She believes that the small moments of connection, creativity, and joy in everyday life can be just as meaningful as the big ones.
