Nicole Cherek LPC, DBT-LBC (she/her) is a licensed professional counselor. She received her Master’s in Community Mental Health from Trinity College of Vermont in Burlington, VT in 2000. She is a licensed professional counselor in Wisconsin, Washington, and Oregon. She has worked in residential, inpatient, and outpatient settings for over 25 years. Her clinical interests include working with individuals with complex trauma, borderline personality disorder, mood and anxiety disorders, substance abuse, ADHD, and bariatric patients. She received intensive DBT training with Behavioral Tech in 2011. She also received intensive training in DBT Prolonged Exposure therapy by Melanie Harned PhD. Nicole relocated to Portland from Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 2022. Outside of her work, her passions include traveling, reading, listening to music, seeing live music, and watching sports, especially the Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Bucks. Nicole is a member of the PTSD-SUD team at PDBTI and provides individual and group therapy. Nicole identifies as a cis, heterosexual, white, neurodivergent Midwest native.
