Dr. Ruork received her doctorate in clinical psychology from the University of Nevada, Reno, completed her clinical internship at Duke University, and a fellowship at Rutgers University. Her clinical and research interests focus on chronic emotion dysregulation, suicide, and self-harm. She is particularly committed to adherent delivery of evidence-based care and oversaw adherence coding of DBT sessions for a multi-site, federally funded study of DBT and CAMS. She has extensive research experience on delivery of DBT across a variety of settings and populations. She loves treatment development and evaluation research, particularly leveraging technology-driven assessment and intervention, as well as structuring the environment to improve outcomes for individuals. She is especially passionate about using technology to increase access to treatment for under-resourced communities.
