She developed her skills through volunteering on mental health support lines, first in England then in Portland. Patti moved on to work in a primary care medical home for 10 years offering support for patients and utilizing Motivational Interviewing. There she worked with a local non-profit to provide adaptive yoga to low-income patients. Patti values Mindfulness as a cornerstone for building a life worth living. In addition to PDBTI, Patti works as a supervisor on the crisis lines at Lines for Life, part of the 988 call center network.

Patti spends her free time with her dogs, enjoys yoga, hiking, biking, x-c skiing, and paddle boarding, as well as time at home in her garden.
