
Mary Lupinetti completed her Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Southern Oregon University in 2012; she is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the State of Oregon and is a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC.) In addition, Mary is a retired Internal Medicine physician (MD, Vanderbilt University, 1982.) She is particularly interested in the connection between traumatic experiences and chronic physical and mental health conditions. She helps adult clients recover from childhood trauma and attachment injuries using client-centered treatments including: Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Eye-movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR.) For clients with depression and bipolar disorder, she integrates Social Rhythm Therapy. In her private practice, Mary treats people with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, attachment disorders, life transitions, grief and loss, relationship challenges, and somatic disorders. She has been providing DBT for 9 years: 3 years with JCMH and 6 years with DBT Center of Southern Oregon. She completed the DBT Intensive and DBT Individual training in 2018. For the past year, Mary has helped provide the DBT-ACES Program and will continue this work with Portland DBT Institute (PDBTI.) “I am grateful to be part of this dedicated and talented group of clinicians providing this transformative therapy for our clients.”
