Dori completed her Ph.D. in clinical psychology at the University of Oregon and her pre-doctoral clinical internship at the Portland VA Medical Center. Dori enjoys working with individuals across the entire lifespan, and she has a particular passion for working with parents who struggle with depression, anxiety, trauma, substance use, or other problems that make the already challenging task of being a parent even harder. Prior to joining Portland DBT Institute, Dori worked on a clinical research trial as a DBT group therapist for mothers diagnosed with borderline personality disorder. In the past, she has also worked with foster children and their families in community mental health. At Portland DBT Institute, Dori is a member of the Adolescent and Family Team. Dori fosters a safe and inclusive therapeutic space for all and has experience working with LGBTQ+ individuals, veterans, and adults and teenagers involved in the criminal justice system.
In her free time, Dori loves hiking and exploring Oregon, working on her culinary skills, traveling and experiencing new cultures, and spending time with her friends and family.
